8/16/2016 (Permalink)

Category 1:  Water that came from a clean source such as a broken supply pipe or a leaky faucet.  If left untreated, may degrade into Category 2 or 3.

Category 2:  Water that is contaminated and could cause discomfort or illness such as a toilet overflow or a washing machine overflow.  Also could be Category 1 water that has been left untreated for a period of time.  If left untreated, may degrade into Category 3.

Category 3:   Water that is grossly contaminated and could cause severe illness or death if ingested.  This water includes flood water from rivers or lakes, sewage water and also could be Category 1 or 2 water that has been left untreated for a significant amount of time.
