Storm Damage – Buffalo Grove Office
Storm Damage occurred at this Buffalo Grove vacant office space when a thunderstorm tore a portion of the roof from the building and allowed rainwater to enter the interior of the vacant office. The quantity of water that was put on the flooring can be seen in the before photo. The damage was discovered by the building’s cleaning crew, and the management of the building had prior experience with SERVPRO of Buffalo Grove / Lake Zurich, so they called us immediately. We extracted the water from the carpeting and removed the baseboards to dry them and to also dry and treat the lower portion of the walls. The property manager requested we clean the carpeting while we were mitigating the water damage and we obliged. We then set up industrial air movers and dehumidifiers to help in the drying process.
